Some friends come into our lives and we are never the same.
Ian is simply going through the motions. He lives and works as an English teacher in Granada and mostly spends his time with other English-speaking expats…until he meets María. His new friend turns out to be unlike any other he’s ever had. She makes herself at home in his apartment and quickly shifts all of the priorities of his whole life.
Although Ian’s other friends find the changes in his behavior strange, Ian feels drawn to and loyal to María in a way he cannot explain. He chooses María and, in turn, chooses himself. Unfortunately, all good things eventually come to an end. And that end just might break Ian.
