When Simon took the journalism job at Right Ahora, an English-language newspaper based in Valencia, Spain, he didn’t quite understand what he was getting himself into. The first year feels magical as he gains more experience and bylines than he could have imagined. However, one brief conversation with Juanjo, a friend-of-a-friend who doesn’t appreciate foreigners coming in and taking jobs away from Spaniards just might change his perspective on the whole setup.
As Simon learns more about the loopholes and rule-breaking that led to his great opportunity, he’ll have to make a big decision.
